Frantz Manufacturing Company is a 115-year-old business leader in Bearing and Steel Ball production and sales in Sterling, Illinois. We have an opening for a skilled inspection technician to ensure the quality conformity of steel balls sold to the automotive industry. Must be able to work a night shift.
Ideal candidates shall have hands-on experience in quality to visually inspect the product and operate automated quality control equipment. The ability and mechanical aptitude to set up, operate, and troubleshoot various sorting machines and equipment are necessary. Focus on inspecting steel balls at an inspection station to ensure 100% conformance to specifications on surface finish, size, and other defects is paramount. Experience in operating and using measuring devices such as micrometers and gauges is a must.
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in manufacturing and a High School degree or equivalent.
- Must have natural or corrected 20/20 vision at 14″ to 20″ focal length.
